Department of Chemistry, FMIPA UII
Department of Chemistry is one of the majors in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Islamic University of Indonesia. The Department of Chemistry houses 4 (four) study programs, namely:
1. Chemistry Study Program (S1)
2. D3 Analytical Chemistry Program
3. Chemistry Education Study Program (S1)
4. Chemistry Master Program (S2)
Department of Chemistry has a vision:
by 2035 department of chemistry will become a World Class Reference Center for Learning, Research and Chemistry in the Field of Chemistry as rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
The missions of Department of Chemistry are:
1. To make Department of Chemistry as the organizer of diploma, bachelor, and master programs that excel in the management of world-class higher education by upholding divine revelation and the Sunnah of the Prophet as a source of eternal truth that brings mercy to the universe
2. To make Department of Chemistry superior in conducting research as a development of science and technology, producing works that are recognized at the national and international levels as well as beneficial to people’s lives.
3. To make Department of Chemistry superior in carrying out community service professionally to actualize research results so that a close relationship with the community is established and there is an increase in the welfare of the community.
4. To make Department of Chemistry superior in organizing collaborations to build networks in educational activities, research, community service and Islamic da’wah.
Along with the vision and mission, Department of Chemistry has several strategic objectives, including producing research products in the form of outputs of international reputation including scientific works, books, patents and technological products that can be applied in the chemical field, so that they can compete. at national and international level.
Department of Chemistry is expected to play an active role in a professional manner in order to participate in solving national and international problems. Department’s active role in mutually beneficial cooperation activities through partnerships and networks at the national and international level is very much needed, and in accordance with the scope of its authority and responsibility, Department of Chemistry bears the burden of effective cooperation for development in all fields, including education, research, community service and Islamic da’wah.
